This Riverside Ragas takes us on journey to the South of India, with Shantala Subramanyam on the flute accompanied by Balu Raghuraman on Violin and Prakash on Ghatam - join us for an evening of Carnatic music that is sure to inspire!

Shantala Subramanyam was raised in Chennai, heartland of Carnatic (South Indian) music. She plays the Venu, a Carnatic bamboo flute, an instrument known for its warm sonority. Shantala has performed at major venues and festival worldwide gaining critical acclaim for her complex rhythmic patterns and technical prowess.
