Experience Art, Enjoy Culture;
Arts Cab was a year long outreach initiative that facilitated cultural opportunities. Arts Cab took people from within the local community to see what was hot in the mainstream and diversity arts, here in the North East and further a field. From Carnivals and Festivals, to Musicals, Exhibitions and Galleries Arts Cab took people places they would not ordinarily go.
Arts Cab worked with families, individuals, asylum seeker and refugee communities and young offenders. By encouraging people to look outside their own environment by offering inspiration and entertainment through the arts, Arts Cab aimed to broaden individual horizons.
Previous trips have included group visits to see Romeo and Juliet in Convent Garden, a trip to Sunderland Glass Centre for elderly members of the community, women's groups and children and a trip to see Bollywood Dream; the hottest South Asian Musical in the West End.
