Mission
GemArts promotes and profiles culturally diverse art through staging concerts, events and workshops with local, national and international artists. Our mission is to promote and establish exciting collaborations between musicians and artists of different backgrounds, and initiate long term relationships between the people of the North East and GemArts.

- To promote the artistic and cultural equality of all people from all communities.
- Encourage enjoyment and self expression through music and the arts.
- Encourage a network of like minded individuals of all races, sexes and cultural backgrounds within the North East and futher afield.
- Promote a greater understanding of people and their cultures through the arts.
- Encourage young people to become advocates for change within their own communities by providing opportunities to develop and profile their talents.
- Maintain a strong commitment to breaking down cultural barriers and testing artistic parameters in the local community and the art world as a whole.
- Maintain a high standard of artistic output. by promoting participation in regular GemArts events
